The difference between Advisory and Consultancy Services

Most of our clients don’t know the difference between Advisory and Consultancy Services, because both of them are translated as consultancy services in Greece.

Consultancy Services are usually simple and specific consultancy tasks for the fulfillment of short-term tasks, such as the completion of a business plan, market research, obtaining an ISO certificate, and proposal submission to a funding program. Most of our clients think that Atlantis Consulting provides such services (Consultancy Services). On the other hand, Advisory Services have a more strategic character and are concerned with the company’s long-term plans, the creation of a strategy, and areas that have a significant impact in the future. Examples of Advisory Services are matters of technological development corridors for the company, design of new products, entering into new sectoral and/or geographical areas, the sale of a branch of a company, the acquisition of another, the development of new business models both for the acquisition of new markets, as well as the sale of its products and/or services, possible entry into stock markets and selection of the appropriate market for this purpose, sale of the company, etc.
