Ολοκλήρωση Εκπαιδευτικού Εργαστηρίου BCThubs για τις Γαλάζιες Τεχνολογίες

The Training Workshop entitled “Blue Technologies & Sustainable Strategies for the Accessibility of Underwater Cultural and Natural Heritage” was successfully completed. The workshop was co-organized by Atlantis Consulting and the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), within the framework of the activities of the Greek Hub of the European project BCThubs.

The workshop took place on 15 January 2026 in the “Zephyros” conference hall at CERTH in Thessaloniki, in a hybrid format. Researchers, professionals, and relevant stakeholders active in the field participated in the event. During the workshop, the innovative technological solutions and methodologies developed within the BCThubs project were presented, including tools for the monitoring of Underwater Cultural and Natural Heritage, semi-autonomous RoVs supporting underwater archaeological research, and an information platform enabling the creation of 3D reconstructions of the underwater environment, among others.

In addition, the strategic pillars of the BCThubs project were presented, along with best practices from recent years in the protection and promotion of Underwater Cultural Heritage through the use of innovative technologies. Approaches from the ecoRoute and TOURAL projects for the development of sustainable tourism were also showcased.

Following the presentations, constructive discussions took place, emphasizing the role of innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and sustainability in the protection and promotion of Underwater Cultural and Natural Heritage.
