Atlantis Consulting actively participated in the Thyrea Living Lab, which took place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, and Sunday, February 9, 2025, in Xiropigado, Kynouria. The event was organized by the local partners of the GOV4ALL project: Meraki People, Academy of Entrepreneurship, Agricultural Olive Oil Cooperative of Doliana, New Agriculture New Generation, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and Afforest for Future.
Specifically, two workshops on Mapping People, Land, and Challenges in Northern Kynouria were conducted, aiming to exchange experiences and collaborate on academic knowledge and best field practices that should be promoted at the national level. GOV4ALL seeks to shape a systemic transformation in agricultural land management by strengthening the connection between communities and innovation ecosystems and creating agricultural centres of inspiration and leadership development.
On the first day, Angelos Manglis presented our European project TOURAL, which is implemented and supported by Atlantis Consulting. TOURAL is implemented in the framework of Horizon Europe (HORIZON). TOURAL focuses on creative & cultural tourism as drivers for sustainable development, offering an empowered regional cooperation and integrated local value-chains. TOUTAL proposes a model to support tourism development of participating rural regions, balancing the growth of urban clusters. The approach of the project is multi-dimensional in terms of addressing complementary tourism sectors (underwater cultural and natural heritage, cultural and creative tourism, cultural and scientific tourism). The main goal of the project is the co-creation of business models and tourism products, as well as the planning and business development with intergraded value-chains. The scope of interventions includes 3 regions from the Adriatic-Ionian Sea (Greece, Italy, Croatia) and 3 regions from the Black Sea (Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine).
Atlantis Consulting’s participation in the Thyrea Living Lab highlighted the significant connection between the GOV4ALL and TOURAL projects, as well as their complementarity in developing sustainable agricultural and tourism models.
