Atlantis Consulting participated in the SUNBIO 5th Consortium Meeting in Vilanova i la Geltrú

Atlantis Consulting S.A., as partner of SUNBIO project, participated in the 5th SUNBIO Consortium Meeting, which took place on 2 June 2026 at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) Campus in Vilanova i la Geltrú, Spain. The meeting was held in a hybrid format, allowing project partners to join both on-site and remotely.

During the meeting, the SUNBIO consortium reviewed the progress achieved during the first 24 months of the project, with particular focus on the technological development of the SUNBIO platform, the Offshore Hybrid Renewable Energy System (OHRES), and the underwater nature-inclusive biodiversity hub. Discussions also addressed technical management, data management, habitat monitoring, energy storage, digital twin development, life cycle analysis, dissemination, exploitation, IPR management, and future steps.

As project partner, Atlantis Consulting contributed to the sessions dedicated to dissemination, exploitation, IPR management, standardization and patenting, supporting the project’s communication, sustainability and valorisation activities.

Η συνάντηση περιλάμβανε επίσης ένα synergetic session, το οποίο συντόνισε η Ατλαντίς Συμβουλευτική, στο πλαίσιο της οποίας παρουσιάστηκαν τρία συναφή έργα: iMERMAID, RHEMEDiation and NiD4OCEAN. Τα έργα αυτά, μαζί με το SUNBIO project., αποτελούν μέλη του Marine Shield Cluster, το οποίο συντονίζεται από το έργο iMERMAID, ενισχύοντας τη συνεργασία, την ανταλλαγή γνώσης και τη διασύνδεση με συμπληρωματικές πρωτοβουλίες.

The consortium meeting was followed by the 2nd SUNBIO Workshop on “Posidonia oceanica Restoration”, held on 3 June 2026, bringing together project partners, external experts and stakeholders to strengthen collaboration around seagrass restoration and marine ecosystem monitoring.

On 4 June 2026, SUNBIO partners visited the SARTI facilities to see the SUNBIO system and discuss the ongoing technological developments taking place within the project. The visit provided an important opportunity for technical exchange and further coordination among partners.

Atlantis Consulting’s participation in the meeting contributed to the continued exchange among partners and supported the next steps of the project as SUNBIO moves into its next phase of development and implementation.
