Atlantis Consulting S.A. participated in THALASSA 2026, held in Larnaca, Cyprus, on 21–22 May 2026, presenting a scientific poster in the framework of the European project BCThubs.

The poster, entitled “Establishing Blue Culture Technology Excellence Hubs as regional innovation ecosystems for the sustainable protection and preservation of Underwater Cultural Heritage”, was presented by Angelos Manglis on behalf of Atlantis Consulting, together with co-authors Anastasia Fourkiotou, Elena Tilegrafou, and Polyvios Raxis.

The presentation focused on the role of Blue Culture Technology Excellence Hubs as regional innovation ecosystems supporting the protection, preservation, accessibility, and promotion of Underwater Cultural Heritage. It also highlighted the importance of digital technologies, such as VR/AR applications, 3D and 4D representations, digital platforms, and monitoring tools, for the sustainable management of underwater cultural assets.

Through its participation in THALASSA 2026, Atlantis Consulting had the opportunity to present the contribution of BCThubs in connecting research, technology, cultural heritage, and the blue economy, while underlining the importance of collaboration among research organisations, industry, public authorities, and cultural heritage actors.
