At the week November 13-18, 2023, Atlantis Consulting participated in 5th Asian Pacific Regional Conference 2023 on Underwater Cultural Heritage, which took place at Asia Culture Centre in Gwangju, city of South Korea.
The conference was honoured with the presence of the archaeologist Anastasia Fourkiotou, executive of the department “Innovation Management and Finance” of Atlantis Consulting, who presented the significant initiatives and the projects that have been implemented and are also being implemented in order to achieve inclusive accessibility and promotion, protection and preservation of Underwater Cultural Heritage in Mediterranean Sea, and more specifically in Greece, in Northern Sporades. The main projects, that were presented, were CREAMARE following the successful projects MAREBOX, BLUEMED, MeDryDive etc. The title of her presentation was “The responsible in situ accessibility and promotion of Underwater Cultural Heritage as a strategy for its protection. A discussion based on recent initiatives in the Mediterranean.”, which was presented at the 3rd day of the APCONF 2023 in Session 20: Effective Ways to Deliver Maritime and Underwater Cultural Heritage. During the Conference, there were flyers and brochures of other projects, so that a lot of visitors could be informed about the rest of the initiatives and projects that Atlantis Consulting implements and supports.
